While trying to make wiser food choices for our family, I began to investigate other products that our household used, such as shampoo, deodorant and make up. Our family had already become "green" and frugal with our detergents (both for the dishwasher and washing machine) for several years. We had even been pretty strict with what products we used to clean our children, but when it came to Hubbie and myself, we used whatever was cheapest or on sale.
Once we realized that our skin was soaking up so many chemicals, we began to test out natural shampoos, make up, nail polish and deodorants from the store. We found out that the natural and aluminum free deodorants on the market, don't really work and my body was having issues with anything else. We knew that God had designed our bodies to sweat and we were OK with not purchasing something that was made to stop that, but we definitely didn't want to stink all day.
Our search led us to a deodorant that actually WORKS for us and even lasts even in the hot and humid Georgia summers! After a few months of making the deodorant, we decided to tell our friends about it and see if anyone was interested.....and Simplistic Deodorants began!
